The second game in the Turok franchise. A new Turok, Joshua Fireseed, is tasked with stopping an imprisoned creature call the Primagen from escaping from imprisonment, which would destroy the universe. This time most of the enemies are Dinosoids, a genetically engineered species of anthropomorphic dinosaurs. Turok can walk, run, jump, climb, swim, strafe, and look and move in every direction. A variety of weapons are available, ranging from talons and bows, to guns, to futuristic energy weapons. The Windows version retains the infamous distance fog that was used to hide distance objects as they get drawn, to prevent them from appearing to pop into existence out of thin air. The game was also innovative for having a map overlay system that allows you to watch the map while playing the game. New to Turok 2 are mission objectives, such as activating beacons and rescuing children. There are 6 levels in this game, with only the first level playable in the shareware version.
