Originally for Amiga and ported to DOS by East Point Software, Project-X is a fairly standard R-Type clone. In this particular game, the protagonist is on his way to the planet Ryxx, taking the fight to the enemy. Players guide a ship through vertically-scrolling levels filled with enemies and environmental hazards, and a single hit destroys the player's ship. Destroyed enemies sometimes drop weapon upgrades, and there are boss enemies that take a lot of damage. Only the first level is playable in the shareware version.
