Based on the SCUMM engine, "No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside" is the first in the series of Pajama Sam games for children. Sam is afraid to go to bed in the dark so, inspired by comic book superhero Pajama Man, he dons a mask and wields a flashlight and lunchbox (Portable Bad Guy Containment Unit) and sets out to confront Darkness. Unfortunately his items are confiscated by Customs upon entering the Land of Darkness, so he must find and recover them in order to complete his quest. Pajama Sam features full voice acting, making it accessible to young children who are still developing their literacy skills. Puzzles are solved by finding and using items in Sam's inventory, such as using oil to get rid of rust. Lots of visual gags and funny dialog should keep the kids laughing as they explore. Only three puzzles can be solved in the demo.
