Bubble Pop  1997

Bubble Pop is based on games like Bubble Bobble and Snow Bros. Your mission is to rescue Bublina and the world from The Evil One, who has turned all your friends against you. To do that, one or two players must clear the screen of enemies by freezing, burning, or trapping them in bubbles using a Magic Rod, or by jumping on them (if they can't fly), and then launching them. Immobilized enemies can be pushed in order to act as a barrier or stairs but, if not launched, will eventually turn back into enemies. Launched enemies can kill other enemies and immobilized enemies, causing bonuses to be dropped. Many levels have wraparound floors that drop players to the top of the screen through the ceiling. There are a great variety of walking, bouncing and flying enemies, some of whom have special attacks like throwing snowballs. If players take too much time completing a level, a demon appears and shoots fire at the players. The levels are divided into five worlds, each with a boss fight at the end. There are four types of spells that can be obtained for the Magic Rod (Freezing Cloud, Fire Ball, Fire Shield, Magic Bubble), and letters from the sometimes appear in the levels to take players to several bonus levels once "BONUS" has been spelled. There are 100 levels in this game, with only 10 playable in the shareware version.
