Re: Solar Winds
hey thanks for posting this game. was fun to play it again after so many years.
the description is a little misleading, v1.0, v1.1, and v2.0 are all episode one. v1&v1.1 are buggy, so don't bother with them. episode 2 doesn't seem to be legally available.
edit - ep2 here:

Re: Solar Winds
Decent game. I liked the soundtrack.
Unfortunately the gameplay was the same thing over and over again.

I've only played a bit into the shareware episode and have got the same impression.lemm wrote:Unfortunately the gameplay was the same thing over and over again.

Re: Solar Winds
I've played through the shareware version and, yes, the mission objectives aren't terribly exciting. The fun part is fighting, once you've upgraded your ship. I had fun flying around and killing everybody.
Today entirely the maniac there is no excuse with the article.

Re: Solar Winds
The hyperspace jumps are way too long.
WARNING: PLOT SPOILERS AHEAD!
Is it a bug or is the unregistered shareware version tweaked to end like this? After acquiring the hyperdrive and finishing few missions, I am to stop a ship from entering a vortex (wormhole). The natural flow of the story would be to follow it, so I agree with him and then... my ship explodes? If it's a wrong answer, what's the correct one? After all, I don't have enough fuel to get back, right?
