don't have the name of the game. So that is my main problem. And it was an old game that I think very few people played, so that is my other big problem. If anyone knows a name of game that could be the one I am looking for please let me know. Or some place I can find the game.
When, and what I played the game and on.
The game was a DOS game running on a 486 in the early 90's. I am thinking 1993-95 it was made. It was a CD-ROM game.
Type
It was a turn base strategy game. The game was a little strange. You could build units that would range from Archers to Air balloons that dropped bombs. You start out in a large territory and you had to pertect the flag in the middle. You could get other territories by capturing the flag in the middle of that large square. If I remember, the goal was to get the other Flags of your opponent territory, thus eliminating them.
Game Play
You would research different things to build different units or make medicine keep your villagers healthy.
You would assign your villagers different tasks to do things, like Woodsman, and then they would cut down trees in the "territory" they lived in. Or make them scientist and they would help research science.
You would also build buildings that would serve different functions. A storage Building would store your goods (such as wood that you had chopped down).
You also would create units like, "archer", "knight", and Air Balloon. I think there were also cannons. Also I remember sailing ships. Not the best game when it comes to a correct time table.
The graphics were ok, for the time. Every time you your science was complete you would get a little cut sceen and there was voice acting. When two units fight it was a bit of tounge in cheek, and a cloud of smoke would cosume the units (like old time cartoons). Then after they stop, it would show how much damage the unit took (like 4). Also lightning would strike when it was raining, and could destroy your improvements as well as start forest fire's.
The sound good. The forest you would hear howls. Voice acting as stated before.
I anyone has any clue to what this game is, let me know. Thanks.

I think I got your game
Is it by chance called Ultimate Domain? I got this game in a bundle pack with a brand new Packard Bell 486/100Mhz machine that I got in '93 or '94. If so, I actually still have a copy of it. Somewhere?! *laughz* I just did a quick scan of my DOS stuff and I didn't see it, but if this is the game you are seeking, I can dig it out and pop out a copy for ya with no problem. Just let me know. ;o)
