I posted this a number of years ago but I just revisited it as there are still four filenames inside GODDESS.LBR that are unknown.
If anyone is any good at solving puzzles, have a look at this list of filenames and see if you can guess any of the missing ones in yellow.

Re: Vinyl Goddess From Mars filenames
Too bad the hash is so weak that brute force matches are nearly useless

Re: Vinyl Goddess From Mars filenames
Yes a few people have tried that, I even wrote an algorithm that would reverse the hash and only produce a list of valid filenames that match a given hash, but it still produces thousands of potential matches. The correct one is probably in there, but which one...?
Here, for example, is a list of possible names for hash a0f (680kB) and this is only restricted to filenames starting from SA to SH, and ending in .GRA! (This matches where the hash fits in with the alphabetical filenames around it.) Every single one of those filenames will report a match against hash a0f, but which one is the correct one?

It must obviously be SHVEPVSY.GRAMalvineous wrote:Here, for example, is a list of possible names for hash a0f (680kB) and this is only restricted to filenames starting from SA to SH, and ending in .GRA! (Puns requiring classical latin alphabet aren't 100% clean, but whatevs.)

Hey, you're probably right!
