Re: Ancients
I bought these games in the late 90's and enjoyed them greatly. The turnbased style suits me and for the time, the graphics were reasonable. Controls were simple and hints were never far away plus you could save/reload your way in a lot of money with gambling. Neither is a particularly long game but if you like classic RPG's, this is what you are looking for.

Re: Ancients
When I first played this game it felt pretty primitive compared to stuff like Might & Magic or Yendorian Tales. However recently I played some Bard's Tale Construction Set games and realised that Ancients was actually pretty advanced compared to other CRPGs of the late 80s/early 90s, with quite a few quality of life improvements. The hand-drawn graphics are a bit meh but they are okay for a game with a limited budget, and they have their own charm in a way.
