I've reworked the list yet again. The shareware clones and the open source liberated game build sections were dropped, and now board game implementations are a separate category.

Also, added the following titles:

Castle of the Winds, Ancient Domains of Mystery Diplomacy Panzer General II RPG Maker Sid Meier's Civilization Titan Wizardry VII

The list now has a separate section for free content replacement projects that use either the original engine of the respective game, or a game engine remake that is capable of handling original game data.

Hi I need PC alternatives for:

1) Anteater (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anteater_%28video_game%29)? I found only one.

2) UFO Catcher (http://www.caiman.us/scripts/fw/f1269.html)? I found noone!

3) Mouse hitting machine (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/wholesal ... 64618.html)? Also noone.

Sorry, no idea. I don't know any of those games. I fancy you have already tried Googling for clones?

Added Blacklight: Retribution as a game similar to the Battlefield and Call of Duty series following a suggestion in another forum.

Which is alternative for Dig Dug? I found one remake and shareware trial version named Dig McDug? Is there just one more? :(

Here's a very neat game in the style of Wolfenstein 3-D and Ken's Labyrinth called Gun Godz. Review video.
