Hello, I recently found classicdosgames.com, and took a few blissful moments down memory lane.
There are a couple of games, however, that my brother and I've been thinking of for ages, but I'm unsure of their names. I tried searching through all the games around the 1990's (when I would have played them) but through my skimming, none sounded right.
I'm actually not sure these were Dosgames, but I'm hoping, and I'm also hoping you can help me find them and relive my childhood! ^_^
One game (when we used to have it) went by the name of 'Funballs', but we don't think that's the original name, we're thinking our dad saved it under that name, or something. The game play involved two players, one had I think red blobs with yellow details, and the other player had green blobs with silver. You had to 'bounce' across a kind of grid, and absorb other blobs (I think of either player's) that were smaller than yours, to increase the size of your own, I think. I believe one side won either once every tile of the grid was filled up with their own color, or if non of the opponent's color existed anymore. One of the game modes had the tag line 'No more filthy arachnids' because I believe in another game mode, a spider would occasionally come down and eat some of the smaller blobs.
Another game will hopefully sound less confusing!
With this one, you essentially had to complete a dot-to-dot puzzle with one continuous line. You had to connect all the dots in one sweep, without going back over any of your lines. I believe the first puzzle was a house/barn, with the dots arranged like a 5 on a playing dye, with an extra one centred above the rest to be the roof. Another puzzle (one I don't believe I ever got passed) would make three boxes with an x across each one, when completed.
I'm almost thinking the game was called 'dots', but I'm not sure....
I'd love to be able to play these games again, or in the least see them or know what they're called.
We've searched a few times in the past on a few other sites, but never came up with anything.
