Everytime I try to run Quake, for example, it gets screwed up.
I mount the disc and folder.
Then it says I have to type in the .exe file, I do that.
in Quake, the .exe file is named Deice.
So I type in Quake\deice
Then it gives the message:
Can't find a .dat file! But the .dat file, named resource, is in the exact same folder.
Anybody got any clue on how to fix this?
No .dat file!

Re: No .dat file!
Deice expects resource.dat to be in the active directory (the one that the command prompt is at). If you unzip Quake to c:\games\quake and then mount c:\games as your C: drive and type "quake\deice", deice looks for resource.dat in c:\games. Just type "cd quake" or mount the quake directory as C:. As long as you're "in" the folder that deice is in, it will find resource.dat.
Today entirely the maniac there is no excuse with the article.
