Earthworm Jim  1996

Earthworm Jim is the first in a series of very odd platform games. Earthworm Jim was just a normal earthworm until the Ultra-high-tech-indestructible-super-space-cyber-suit fell from space and transformed him into a hero. Jim can defeat enemies by shooting them or whipping them with his head. His head can also be used to swing from things, or turn it into a propeller to slow his descent while he's in the air. Jim can drive a number of vehicles, including a hamster! The gameplay is wacky and imaginative, and has characters with names like Queen Slug-for-a-Butt and Princess What's-Her-Name. A "Special Edition" was released for Sega CD and Windows 95 that adds an extra level called "Big Bruty", alternate endings for the Easy and Difficult difficulty levels, a remixed CD Audio soundtrack, and 1000 more frames of animation. The DOS demo only includes the level "Down the Tubes", while the Win9x demo only includes "New Junk City".
