The second instalment in the series has got all sorts of improvements, and has become much more difficult. The level design is just as good as in the original, but the game feels and plays quite differently. In this respect, the SNES port of the first game is somehow closer to the original, despite many new features introduced in it.

I never liked the unresponsive slippery controls of either game, which makes the game extremely difficult. Seems hyped for "HAY ROTOSCOPED FACELESS PEOPLE ON YUR COMPS" and didn't hold much interest for me.

Never had any problem with controls in either PoP or its sequel, TBH. Both games have interesting puzzles and generally non-trivial level design, and they were, and still are, a lot of fun to play IMO.

This built on everything I loved about Prince of Persia, and added more variety of scenery and gameplay, and some really epic cinematic moments. The soundtrack is quite incredible too. One of my all time favourites for sure.

It felt cool for its novelty but somehow did not surpass the original IMO. I probably would have much preferred something along the lines of the SNES version of the first game: more graphics, dungeon elements, enemies and puzzles, but keep the core gameplay exactly the same.
