I think this one's the game I played after all, and not Tank Wars. I remember it was actually quite fun, but I haven't played much artillery games since then.

We used to play this game at lunch in the computer lab when I was in high school. We would play with four or five humans and fill out the rest with computers in a 10-way battle royale. Awesome times.

it crashed a lot for me on very long games. sometimes it'd GPF after certain explosions

I used to have 100 round games in the 90s with this.
