Looking for old mining game

You were a miner who started on the surface next to a bank (where you brought precious stones) and a store (where you bought tools). Then you could go to the far right of the screen into an elevator and go underground. The screen only scrolled up or down, not left or right. Anyway, you would walk through the dirt and try to find things like gold or silver, and avoid things like cave-ins or water. The graphics had color, the animation was minimal. No walking animation for your character as I recall. Also, every time you quit, there would this quote from the Hobbit that come up, something like, "May the hair on your toes never fall off." That's all I can think of. Anyone know what this is?
