You should probably ask Litude, but frankly I haven't heard from him in a while. I hope everything's fine with him!

Yeah, I hope so too.

For the record, I used Hallfiry's catalogue to search for versions of Doom 95, but only found the Jun 6 version and an earlier one:

DOSGuy wrote:I used Archive.org to look up Reality Studios' old website (http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://pur ... /reality/*). None of the pages are archived, but I can see that a file called cyberkid.exe was crawled, so that seems to support that Reality distributed a self-extracting archive of the Cyberboard Kid demo. A number of websites, including Happy Puppy, had links to a file called cyberkid.exe. Most list the size as "4157 KB" or 4,257,229 bytes
Thanks to Hallfiry's catalogue this version was found on a French magazine cover CD. Here's the download link for the file: CYBERKID.EXE

This is a self-extracting DOS ZIP archive, as opposed to the GAME_BKP.EXE file mentioned previously, which is a self-extracting LHA archive. The date stamps on all files are from Jan 17, 1996, except for VENDOR.DOC which is from Feb 17, 1996. The contents of this CYBERKID.EXE file are identical to those of the file cyberkid.zip which is already on the site.

You might also be interested in another version which was distributed by the German publisher CDV and only came as a split version in three parts: cyril01.exe, cyril02.exe, cyril03.exe. It contains a De-ICE installer. Interestingly, while this version equally claims to be v0.51, the date stamps on files and the copyright notice are from 1995, making this the earliest known version. The installer files have date stamps from Jan 25, 1996.

I have just verified that the shareware version of Rise of the Triad v1.1 found here is authentic (except that the file needs to be renamed to 1rott11.zip), as it has the Apogee authenticity verification signature. It also has the Software Creations BBS comment, a feature that Litude mentioned here.

I just found a newer version of the MDK Internet demo, identifying itself as v3.0: mdkpcw95.exe [Added to the site]

This file includes both the DOS and the Windows version of the demo. The demo is dated 13 March 1997.

Transport Tycoon Deluxe
Playable demo: TT_TOY.ZIP

I found this on a magazine coverdisk using Hallfiry's catalogue. The playable demo includes two scenarios using the "candyland" tileset. The version number is 2.01.119 and the date is 24 October 1995.

Death Rally
In 2009, Remedy released a free Windows version of the game which only includes single player, while an enhanced version with network play is sold via Steam. The free download was hosted by the Joystiq magazine website which is now down, but a mirror is available here.

The Terminator: Future Shock
Demo v0.142: shockdem.zip [Added to the site]

This is v0.142, which was released only a few hours before the already known v0.144. The only file different between these two releases is SHOCK.EXE. Apparently some kind of bug was discovered shortly after the release of v0.142 which prompted such a hasty update.

I found a fully translated German language demo of Command & Conquer on a German magazine coverdisk, would you be interested in adding it? It's otherwise identical to the English demo from Westwood's FTP, save for additional censorship that removed blood from infantry deaths, and replaced their screams with a mechanical sound - infantry are supposed to be "androids" in the German version.

Okay, I corrected the date stamps and uploaded the German C&C demo here.

I also found an official hints file for The Adventures of Maddog Williams via the Wayback Machine, perhaps you'd want to add it to the game page: hints.zip

DOSGuy wrote: April 1st, 2015, 10:21 am Argh, a Win16 installer! The Win64 user's kryptonite! Still DOS once you get it installed, if you can get it installed, though.
Last year I completely by chance ran into an incredibly useful tool called OTVDM that adds support for 16-bit Windows apps to 64-bit Windows, based on Wine libraries. Worked like a charm with Thor's Hammer installer on Win8.1.

Recently I tried out Trugg -- an excellent game but I noticed something about the shareware version. I extracted it with PKUNZIP and it turns out that the archive has the Authenticity Verification routine, and even though all files inside pass the verification it thinks that the archive has been "tampered with":
Image
I found a different version of the shareware version 1.0 ZIP that has one extra file compared to the version here, on this Computer Shopper CD, but it also gives the same error. Either more files are missing, or there was some kind of error with the AV in the first place.

Of course there are also other ZIPs that do not have the AV routine at all, but those are most likely repacks.

What's more, it appears that the Digital Workshop FTP might have had a newer shareware version 1.01, as suggested here (Wayback Machine link):
http://www.digitalworkshop.co.uk/trg.htm

The file name was trg101e.exe (773,822 bytes). I was unable to find either the file itself or at least in contents anywhere, even with Hallfiry's new catalogue.
