Hi again
Now I am playing Monster Bash Episode 1 (very enjoyable game) and trying to connect joyctick.
I have a Creative SoundBlaster Ct4810 sound card with gameport, and bought cable converter to connect digital joystick (QuickShot) to it.
Joystick is properly working under Atari emulator and passed calibration.
But how to enable it in Monster Bash? In game, it only says: "center the joystick and press SPACE when ready", I do it and nothing happens, can't make it work.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Jerry

Re: Monster Bash - joystick support?
First, what operating system are you using? Windows Vista and up no longer support game/midi ports. Third-party drivers might, but the OS will no longer let you use, say, a Gravis Gamepad because Windows doesn't support the game ports.
Second, are you using DOSBox? Monster Bash, and any other DOS game, may work in Windows XP and earlier, but your best bet to get a game working is to use DOSBox, or a real copy of DOS running in a virtual environment.

Hi, thanks for reply
I am using Windows XP Prof. I am not using DOSbox /VDmsound because MB runs well without it.

Maybe it does and maybe it doesn't. Did you try using DOSBox to see if the joystick would work?JeeryS wrote:I am not using DOSbox /VDmsound because MB runs well without it.

Hmm. You mentioned that you bought a cable converter to connect a digital joystick to the gameport on your sound card. Are you saying that the joystick connects to another type of port, perhaps a serial port?
