The artistic style of the game is excellent and rather unique, but the game (I've played the demo level for a while; the one without sound) seems very hard, so I didn't get far through the demo level. IN this respect, Flashback has a lot more conventional playstyle and controls.
I remember reading about a sequel called Heart of the Alien back in the nineties (I didn't know about the first game then), in a console gaming magazine. It is my understanding that the sequel was never released on the PC platform at all.
