I've been browsing through the archived copy of Webfoot Technologies' website, who had published Inner Worlds. They have some interesting-looking shareware games, like 4th Generation, B.A.D. and Interpose (you can check assorted screenshots from each game by clicking on the "Screen Shots" option on respective pages).

I thought Midnight Synergy sounded familiar when clicking the link, turned out they're the people behind Shadow Force.

They also have some neat newer games too

I've played Brain Storm Pro a bit, it's a very nice shareware puzzle game not unlike Brix. The shareware version has 20 levels. It starts with deceptively simple puzzles which get increasingly more difficult and challenging as the game progresses and new elements are introduced. The graphics and music are also very nice

Hmm, I've noticed that the site doesn't have Epic MegaGames' LineWars II in any form. There's a shareware version, while Patrick Aalto's website has the registered version as a free download.

Could you please get Star Hammer? I think it might be the sequel to Starfire, which you have. I remember that "Quicksilver" something was one of the companies listed in the opening credits. I think maaaaybe, but not sure, that Apogee might be one of the companies that worked on it. I know I played it in windows on an old computer, and that it was shareware, and that it would let you play all the way through to where you won. It is one of my very favorite games. I can try to remember more info that would help you find it if you like. Thank you again!

It's a shareware version, with a large portion of the game available for free.

I don't think the game is sold now, but it hadn't been released as freeware officially either. So no, there doesn't seem to be a legal way to obtain the full version right now.

I've stumbled upon a shareware shmup called Nebula Fighter the other day. Created by and Italian developer Holodream, it was originally a DOS game but then it switched to Windows. The Windows demo is available from the developer's website, the DOS shareware version is found here.

Just stumbled upon a freeware RPG written in QBASIC called Dark Ages I: The Continents (not related to the Apogee side-scroller of the same name). It seems pretty nice.
